A venturi tube is ideal for applications where a low permanent pressure loss (high pressure recovery) is required. This is used for measuring non-viscous liquids, gases, air, steam, slurry etc. The types are made according to the methods of manufacture of internal surface of entrance cone & profile at the intersection of the entrance cone & the throat. Rectangular types are used for applications in ducting systems.
